ScobikartScobikart Delivery Partner

Privacy Policy

Effective 3 October 2026

SCOBIKART TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED ("Scobikart", "we", "us" or "our") operates the Scobikart Delivery Partner app (the "Rider App"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from delivery partners ("you"), why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Rider App and to the related services we provide to delivery partners.

By registering with or using the Rider App you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Rider App.

1. Prominent disclosure: background location

The Rider App collects your device's precise location, including in the background, while you are on duty.

  • When you go on duty, the Rider App collects your location continuously, even when the app is closed, minimised or not in use and the screen is off.
  • We use it to assign nearby orders to you, to give customers live tracking of their delivery, to calculate delivery routes, distances and estimated arrival times, to verify pickups and drop-offs (for example, a delivery can only be marked as delivered or undelivered near the customer's address), and for your safety and SOS support.
  • Location collection stops when you go off duty. We do not collect your location when you are off duty.
  • Android shows a persistent notification while location is being collected in the background.
  • You can withdraw location permission at any time in your phone's settings. Without location access you cannot go on duty or receive orders, because order assignment and live tracking depend on it.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us when you register and work with us:

  • Full name, mobile number, email address, date of birth and residential address
  • Profile photograph
  • Government-issued identity documents (for example Aadhaar, PAN) and driving licence details
  • Vehicle details (type, registration number)
  • Bank account or UPI details for payouts
  • Emergency contact details

Information collected while you use the Rider App:

  • Precise location (foreground and background while on duty, as described in section 1)
  • Delivery activity: orders offered, accepted, picked up, delivered or marked undelivered, timestamps, distances, cash collected for cash-on-delivery orders, ratings and feedback
  • Photographs you take in the app, such as proof of delivery, proof of an undelivered attempt and document uploads
  • Earnings, incentives, payouts and attendance records
  • Messages and support requests you send us, including SOS alerts

Device and technical information:

  • Device model, operating system and app version
  • Device identifiers and push-notification token
  • IP address, network information, crash reports and app usage logs

3. App permissions and why we need them

  • Location (precise, including background): see section 1.
  • Camera: to take your profile photo, photograph documents, and capture proof of delivery or of an undelivered attempt.
  • Photos / storage: to upload documents and images you choose.
  • Notifications: to alert you to new orders, order changes, payouts and important updates, including full-screen alerts for incoming orders.
  • Foreground service: to keep location tracking and order alerts running reliably while you are on duty.

4. How we use your information

  • To create, verify and manage your delivery partner account
  • To check your identity, eligibility and documents
  • To assign, manage and track deliveries and provide live tracking to customers
  • To calculate and pay your earnings, incentives and reimbursements, and to keep payout and tax records
  • To provide navigation, routing and delivery support
  • To communicate with you about orders, payouts, policy changes and support
  • To ensure safety, respond to SOS alerts and investigate incidents
  • To detect and prevent fraud, misuse and violations of our terms
  • To analyse and improve the Rider App and our services
  • To comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our services:

  • With customers: your first name, profile photo, vehicle details, live location while delivering their order, and a way to contact you about that order, so they can receive it.
  • With our stores and franchise partners: details needed to hand over orders and settle cash collected.
  • With service providers who process data for us under contract: cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services, servers in India), Google Firebase (push notifications and crash reporting), Google Maps (maps, routing and address lookup), and payment partners such as Razorpay (payouts and digital payments).
  • With government or law-enforcement authorities when required by law, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of Scobikart, our users or the public.
  • With a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, under the same protections.

6. Data security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and restricted access for our staff on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to fix any issue promptly.

7. Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide our services. After your account is closed we keep only what we must for legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution and fraud-prevention purposes (for example, payout and tax records for the period required by Indian law), and then delete or anonymise it. Location history is kept only as long as needed for operations, safety investigations and dispute resolution.

8. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

We will confirm your request and delete your account and personal information within 30 days, except information we must keep by law (see section 7). Pending payouts are settled before deletion.

10. Children

The Rider App is only for adults who are legally allowed to work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
